| What is SkyChoice Specialty TV? SkyChoice Specialty TV is a satellite based service enabling you to receive approximately 300 digital channels with 85 in English. 12 of these digital channels are broadcast in High Definition for superior picture and sound quality. In addition, occasional channels enable you to receive numerous sport, news and other special live events with many of these not available from any other Canadian provider! The channels received are Free To Air which represents a category of satellite television channels which are not encrypted by the service provider so no monthly subscription fee is required. |
| What are the requirements for SkyChoice Specialty TV? A motorized 85 cm satellite dish must be installed on a south facing wall or other suitable structure in order to receive SkyChoice Specialty TV. In addition, a clear view of the sky from south east to south west is required in order to receive all available channels. Before scheduling an installation appointment, a SkyChoice representative will qualify your address by using a combination of publicly available overhead satellite maps and street view photographs in order to ensure that we are able to install the satellite dish in a position that it can receive signal without any obstructions. Please note that if you live in an apartment or condominium, you MUST obtain written permission in order to install a satellite dish before we may schedule an installation appointment. If permission was not obtained and our technician is not able to complete the installation due to this, a fee of $60 + tax WILL be charged for the service call. |

| How does SkyTab work? Instead of paying several hundred dollars upfront in order to get a professionally installed subscription free satellite television system, you are now able to pay a low upfront cost along with affordable monthly payments for up to one year thanks to SkyTab, exclusively from SkyChoice! With SkyTab, you simply pay a low upfront cost during the installlation of your service(s) and then you are able to pay the remaining balance owed with a fixed monthly repayment amount of $25 per month for up to 12 months on top of your mandatory subscription fees to our Internet and/or home phone service. In addition, we will credit an amount every month equal to 5% of your monthly bill amount against what you still owe. This is similar to a "tab" program that some cell phone providers have in order for customers to pay off their wireless device over time. Only the initial upfront cost varies based on which SkyChoice services you subscribe to while your monthly repayment amount is fixed at $25 until the total installation cost of $425 + HST is completely paid off.
